Türkiye’de COVID-19 Kısıtlamaları Sırasındaki ve Öncesindeki Kraniyal Bilgisayarlı Tomografi Oranları

Aim: In this study, we aimed to compare the admission and examination data of patients who presented our emergency department with neurological symptoms in April 2019 (before) 2020 (during COVID-19 pandemic).Methods: The study included underwent cranial computed tomography (CT), including additionally CT angiography for suspected stroke. Thus, sample consisted a total 960 patients, whom 676 (Group) before pandemic 284 (Group II) during course pandemic. were reviewed retrospectively.Results: rates indications did not statistically significantly (p=0.143) differ between Group I II: stroke, 76.2% vs. 72.9%; trauma, 22.5% 23.6%; tumors 1.3% 3.5%, respectively. rate finding vessel obstruction on was (p<0.05) higher II (25% 65%). confirmed cases stroke (p<0.001) (6.7% 18.7%). Also, ischemic hemorrhagic both (p<0.001 p=0.043, respectively).Conclusion: While measures prevention spread infection have led decrease hospital admissions, conspicuous increase observed same period time.
